He also doesn't trust Astarion as far as he can, at present, throw him. Far too cagey, but he raises a good point about the nasty little worms. They need to be leashed before they're removed.
"Further reason not to go to the Emperor," he agrees. "Could you imagine how threatened they'd be in the presence of a heavenly demon? And if they forced us to lash out and we harmed even a perfect hair on one of his wives' beautiful head..."
He tuts lightly for dramatic effect.
"There would not be enough of us to even bury. For now, we should get new clothes, and then some food and rest. I'm sure there's some manner of flower or mushroom out there, growing atop a peak or in the bowels of some cave," he sniffs airily, "or maybe a haunted forest this time -- that would be a novel change -- which can help with subduing out... little friends, shall we say."
