It's beyond him why anyone would want to retain such a monstrosity -- if he thought he stood any chance of surviving the experience he might just ask Liu-xiong to stab him in the head right now, just to get it out out -- but then, there were many things about that strange vision of Astarion's life that he didn't understand. It was very strange indeed -- and oddly sympathetic, still. He frowns slightly and says, "Regardless, the best thing we can do is make our way to the capital as quickly as possible."
He gestures to the distant Bailu Mountain, explaining, "Regrettibly my grasp on geography is not what it should be, but while I was piloting the ship the foremost thought in my mind was trying to return home. If this indeed is my world or one like it, then the Saintly Emperor will certainly be able to relieve our plight." Smiling brightly as he warms to his topic, he explains to Astarion. "He's guarded our world against all manner of threats for generations, and in addition to being a master cultivator himself his wives include some of the best and brightest minds from near and far. Certainly someone in the palace will be able to help us -- and he may even be able to grant you relief from whatever else troubles you."
He realizes with a quiet laugh, "Perhaps we'll even get commendations for bringing this threat to the emperor's attention! Wouldn't that be something?" Maybe after this, his brothers will finally stop fussing about him getting into trouble!
