Marcus could hear the heavy stomping foot prints over the sound of his own heartbeat, the dead, and his frequent coughing. He went past a zombie that was on the floor and rising, getting ever slower as he struggled to get enough air into his lungs.

He glanced back when the source of the stomping foot falls came into view. Tall. Inhuman. And pausing to crush the zombie Marcus had been fleeing from.

The door was locked. Marcus didn't have a key for it. There was no other way out of this hall except past the giant who... wasn't moving towards him with any kind of hostility. Marcus leaned heavily against the door to catch his breath, watching the grey-skinned man carefully.
