Getting a reaction out of Jadus was satisfying. The longer this went on, the less he seemed like some mighty being to fear, and more like just another alien. He might be powerful, but he had dealt with countless powerful people.

It might not be full body armor, but most of the sensation didn’t penetrate. He pulled back to quickly remove his jacket, throwing it aside. It was covered in blood anyway, it needed to be laundered.
